My Approach

I believe therapy works best when it is shaped around the person sitting in front of me. No two people are the same, so no two therapy journeys should be either.

Rather than following one fixed approach, I draw on a range of therapeutic models, always grounded in a person-centred philosophy. Together, we explore what feels most helpful for you at any given moment, moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Some sessions might involve exploring patterns in your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours and gently finding new ways to respond to life's challenges. Other times, we might use mindfulness, relaxation, visualisation, journaling or practical strategies that you can take away and use between sessions.

When working with adolescents, I adapt therapy to meet them where they are. Young people don't always find it easy to express themselves through conversation alone, so sessions may also include creative activities, worksheets, cards, drawing, games, metaphor, grounding exercises or other age-appropriate tools that help them explore their thoughts and emotions in a way that feels comfortable and natural. The focus is always on building trust, strengthening emotional awareness and helping them develop practical coping skills they can use in everyday life.

Above all, I believe therapy is a collaborative process. I check in regularly to understand what's helping, what isn't, and what you need from our time together.

This means therapy can evolve as you do, ensuring it remains meaningful, supportive and truly yours.
